After one small study, I painted the Victorian Lady.
I had to create her twice to complete the job to the customers liking and to meet my own standards.
It was one of the hardest commissions I have down in a LONG time because I was trying to please the client and the sign maker she was working with.
I am posting the image of the watercolor today and when the sign finally gets made and in the ground, I will post that image as well.
I think the lesson here is to push yourself and try subjects that are not in your comfort zone... and expect to "fail" and work out the problems. That is how we learn .....
Have a great evening.

She is lovely, Teri. I am doing just that...pushing myself to try new subjects. I have a commission for two of my painted folding tables; one with a dream catcher and one with Kokopelli figures. Drafts are on my blog if you would like to see them. I got the approval from the customer and started them; going ever so slowly with each step to make sure I don't mess up. It's so exciting.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your next post with the finished sign. Congratulations!
