I am creating this blog entry from up state New York.
I am here visiting with our son, Ryan. It is beautiful here and we have enjoyed exploring areas around the small towns were he lives. I have taken an overload of photo references that will be used for panting subjects and lessons for my eager students.
My son is a musician so as I am sitting drawing and painting, I get to listen to him on the guitar playing his original music. What a great feeling of pride in him and inspiration. A verse in one of his songs is "All signs point to YES." What a wonderful line! I think it speaks to me in a very personal way - finding the positive, looking for ideas and inspirations everywhere, being thankful for all the lucky things that come my way.

That is so nice that you are with your son for a long Mother's Day weekend. I am sad that I can't be with mine since I have to work. But New York is a really pretty state :]
