Morning Light

I am not a morning person but I have friends who are and they tell me that there are spectacular images to be seen in the early hours of the days ... but you have to move fast!

I was up this AM and watching my birds at the feed and noticed the bright color and before I got my shoes on, the sun was moving and the glow was fading.

I snapped a few but the lesson is ... be ready (and maybe faster) to observe and record ... what ever the time of day!

Day #2 - Up earlier than usual!!

I made it out of bed earlier than usual again this morning ... 2nd day in a row!!!
It is beautiful and I said yesterday I would share a visual. The yard is so green and the long shadows are interesting.

I had a great day of teaching! Drawing and color studies for most of the students but one student and I made little air clay fishes! What fun!!!!

Fun Weekend and an Early Start !

We were able to visit with our daughter and son in law this weekend in the southern part of the state. They are planning to store the majority of their belongings, live in a nice big RV while looking for land to build on. So, we went down to help them pack and prepare for the big move.

We laughed as we worked and visited ...

ate some good food ...

even slipped in some shopping and a baby shower for their friends!

We returned safely to our own home and hit the ground running this morning!!!!
I am trying to get up early and enjoy the fresh morning hours before I work at the studio ... wish me luck, as I do like to sleep in. I will take my camera with me tomorrow to show you how beautiful it is in the AM looking at our backyard!
