just a heads up that one of my leaf paintings is included in this Treasury until Monday the 30th.
It is one of the examples of the class I am teaching on the 2nd!
Let me know if you are interested in the painting or the class.
It is Saturday here at the Brick and Mortar ... we haven't been too busy but I can't seem to get anything accomplished ... ever have one of those days???
HA! The floor is shaking ... I think is all of you rolling on the floor, laughing ... I am going to turn up the tunes and try to get something going! Wishing you are productive day ... some one better be!

Treasury!!!!!
I wanted to share this with anyone out there - one of my small abstracts is featured in an Etsy Treasury until Monday evening. The treasury was posted by JealousyDesigns, so check out her shop as well.
I find it so intriguing that 12 artists can work on different projects and designs that relate to each other ... perhaps by color or shapes or lines.
I think that is why good designs use the elements and the principles. Even if you don't think about them, they are there in your brain and when it works, you know it.

I can now walk away from the Easter Pear!!!
Easter Pear?
I like pears better than eggs!!!
Easter Pear Step 1
Step 1 - I thought this would be enough ... silly me!
Easter Pear Step 2
Step 2 - I wanted to add a bit of EGG Whimsy.
Easter Pear Step 3
Step 3 - It wouldn't be mine if there weren't any cast shadows.
Easter Pear Step 4
Step 4 - And I love a good implied table line ... don't you??
Easter Pear Step 5
Step 5 - Oh, better kick up the value a bit!
Easter Pear Step 6
Step 6 - The background could use a value shift.
Easter Pear Step 7
Step 7 - Add, of course we need a bit of implied texture!
