New Blog Toys!!!!

Hello everyone!
I have been away for a few weeks and just logged on to find new toys here on the blogger.
WOW!
I will play with a few and see what the results are ..... has anyone else changed the look of their blog???

I have been with my sister in Florida... as she finished her 16 weeks of chemo and reluctantly started her radiation treatments today. 28 treatments .... so only 27 to go.

Getting back into the studio and routine after being away for 10 days has been stressful... the old saying of taking  three steps forward, two steps back kept coming into my mind. I think one more day will get me caught up and working in the present, instead of playing "catch up".

I keep asking myself ....Do I really need to go through the stack of newspapers, emails and  FB entries? Part of me feels like I may have missed some tid bit of info .... but then again, I may just post and "I'm Back!" message and tell everyone if I missed something, fill me in. Yeah .... fill me in!!!!

  1. I've been playing with Blogger too...fun! Like your new look--especially the background. Where'd you find that?

    Hope all is well!

  2. GREAT new look.

By the way, I FINALLY got the Dagonfly mailed and the recipient was so thrilled. Sonow, a little part of the Pear Tree is in Dousman, Wisconsin.

  3. I have not touched the new blogge items due to the fact that having a customized background, I would lose everything. Headers, BG, layout.......eveything has to be rebuilt. And what you *had* can't be salvaged.
Seems the went the sparse wordpress style....but there your content is copyrighted.
Glad you're home! It's just been Indiana---storm, storm, storm!

    XXOO!!

  6. Thanks everyone, I am glad to be home.
I love the background .... even though it is not mine it is similar to some of my paintings ... I wonder if it takes away from the blog or adds to it.
Risa, it was just one of the stock backgrounds on blogger that I clicked on and liked ... for now.
Paula ... the private collection continues to spread!!

Step 2 - I wanted to add a bit of EGG Whimsy.

Easter Pear Step 3

Easter Pear Step 3
Step 3 - It wouldn't be mine if there weren't any cast shadows.

Easter Pear Step 4

Easter Pear Step 4
Step 4 - And I love a good implied table line ... don't you??

Easter Pear Step 5

Step 5 - Oh, better kick up the value a bit!

Step 6 - The background could use a value shift.
