Mellow - art coop prompt!

I have been busy with positive family stuff ... our daughter and son in law purchased their first "fixer upper" and we were there over the week end to help with some of the first clean up and planning. Oh, youth ...

So, I am back in the studio with students and my paint brushes today.
I finished my small watercolor to fit the prompt, MELLOW.
I am pleased with the look and emotional feel of the piece.

Now I am on to a bigger project ... six large canvas to hang in INDIANAPOLIS at the Mass Ave Wine Shop. I have most of the ideas on paper and in my head so painting them should be easy ....  The project should be good for a blog entry or two!

Off to the sewing room for a project there .... so much to do ... so little time!
Keep smiling!

  1. Hello Teri,
Thanks for coming by my blog. It's nice to have a few followers now. I bet you'll have lots of fun helping your daughter with the decorating of her new home. Is she an artist, too?
When we bought this house in Maine it needed quite a bit of work. I removed the wallpaper border along the top of the paneling and since I couldn't find any new border the same size to replace it with I painted little trees all around the top of the wall. I look at them today and think "how primitive" they look but, it was actually my first artwork. I'm proud of my little trees. Lots of luck (I'm sure you don't need any) with your big project. Look forward to seeing the pictures.

Step 2 - I wanted to add a bit of EGG Whimsy.

Step 3 - It wouldn't be mine if there weren't any cast shadows.

Step 4 - And I love a good implied table line ... don't you??

Step 5 - Oh, better kick up the value a bit!

Step 6 - The background could use a value shift.
