WONDERFULLY WICKED WEEKEND!

Hello, this blog is about the highlights of my wonderful weekend!!

We were able to spend time with our daughter & son in law and talked with our son, it was Father's Day Weekend and we celebrated!

We had dinner at Fogo de Chao, where they serve meat, meat, and more meat plus a wonderful salad bar. The men had their fill of the meat and we girls took advantage of the variety of items at the salad bar ... we were all happy!

With our tummies too full for dessert, we left Fogo and drove to Mass Ave, a very artsy area and visited with owner/cousin Jill D at Mass Ave Wines. We enjoyed the live music and looked around this unique wine shop/eatery. (I am creating a new series of work for a September Display - more on that in a later blog.) The visit was brief as we had to be in our seats for WICKED at the Murat Theater.

This was an extraordinary production ... we all enjoyed it immensely and came away with smiles on our faces. The costumes were impressive, the vocals were flawless and the twists and implied ties to the Wizard of Oz were cleverly done. It was awesome!!

We left the theater and drove safely to J and B's Motor Home, waiting for us in a large parking lot, right where we left it! We all slept well and woke up early. After breakfast at LePeeps we parted ways, but not before I drove the Motor Home one time around the parking lot. What a rush!

A smooth drive home included brief stops at 2 of Tom's favorite stores, (hardware)lunch at a hamburger joint and a quick stop at the Pear Tree to water our flowers. We arrived home at noon, right on schedule. Tom loaded the canoe in the van and I dropped him and his brother, Pat, up stream for their brother canoe trip down the river.

We had a light meal later Sunday evening after he returned from the river. Our son called and talked to his father about what is going on in his life out in Portland O.
Music and friends, still looking for a job.

It was a fun weekend, all about Tom and full of many different happenings. I have an interesting week ahead of me, so check back often for lots of information packed posts.
